The inability to tolerate foods and environmental factors, also known as sensitivity or intolerance, induces chronic activation of the innate immune system and gives rise to inflammatory processes, which includes excess production of reactive oxygen species and the release of preformed and newly synthesized mediators of inflammation.

Upon completing a simple blood draw, the ALCAT test results are presented in an easy to understand, colour coded chart. It highlights each patients incompatible foods and the level of each reaction (sever, moderate, or mild). The ALCAT test result also clearly identifies the foods which are non-reactive or 'safe' foods for the patient to consume. Based on these results your Naturopathic Doctor will create a rotational diet to help minimize symptoms and achieve health and wellbeing.
